Unpretentious yet supremely elegant, the Mercedes-Benz 300 CE-24 was one of the most subtle full size convertibles of the 90s. With only 6343 units ever produced of the pre-facelift 300 CE-24 this is a future collectors item that can be enjoyed as a daily summer driver, with perfect space for a family of four.

This particular example comes with great provenance. Sold new in Bad Tölz, Germany in May 1993. The first owner, Mr Dieter Vaupel born 1934 had the car until 2002 (120.000 km), when purchased by a Swedish naval officer and expat in Germany, Mr. Kenth Gutensparr, born 1958. The car was stationed at his summerhouse in Provence, France until brought back to Sweden in 2017. Mr. Gutensparr and his wife drove the car sporadically summertime hence the low milage since 2002.

On July 27, 2020 tested and maintenance performed at Bosch Car Service specializing in classic German cars. New battery, alternator, multi belt and wheel bearings among others were replaced (receipt of 1400 EUR)

Condition:
Very good but not mint condition. Clean bodywork overall, a few small dents and one sacco-panel has scrathes. Original cabrio in perfect condition, fully electric and working. Accident free and original paint. Interior very good; leather in perfect condition. Of course smoke and odor free. Mechanically in good condition.

Documented flaws:
Air condition does not cool (not tested), some scuffing on corners in the plastic/rubber and on one Sacco-panel, instrument cluster lights not working.
