Unpretentious yet supremely elegant, the 850 was one of the most subtle super-GTs of the 90s. This ultimate autobahn-stormer was built for ten years between 1989-1999, the car dubbed E31 was a ‘clean-sheet’ design that could trace its lineage way back to BMW’s rather lovely coupes from the 1930s.  With 30,621 units ever produced this is a future collectors item.
 
This particular example has had the same owner since 1996 - A gentleman and enthusiast (born 1938) who now is ready to part from this car and pass it on to someone who appreciates its provenance, unique history and low milage. Recently tested and maintenance performed by a leading Swedish BMW-specialist in Stockholm. 
 
To prove its low milage this car comes along with a large history file including a full service history from both main dealers and BMW specialists.

History:
Sold new by BMW in Germany. One owner in Germany and imported to Sweden in 1995 (73.000 km)  by a private person and bought by the current owner in april 1996. Always serviced/maintenanced by BMW Stockholm. The current owner has since used the car on a regular basis up until when he garaged the car in 2005. When warm-garaged  at his Stockholm Archipelago summer house between 2005-2020 the car has been driven only  sporadically to keep fluids, gaskets and electronics in order.
 
On June 1, 2020  tested and maintenanced by a leading Swedish BMW-specialist in Stockholm (Per Larsson Bil & Motorteknik Huddinge).  All electronics, oils, filters, gaskets etc. are changed or controlled to make sure the car is in perfect mechanicall condition before delivery to the next owner (receipt of 3700 EUR)

Condition:
Very good condition, close to mint condition, but has a few documented flaws;  Minor damage on the rear bumper. A few scratch marks in the front and outside mirrors. Sun roof has a paint chip with superficial corrosion. Original paint, except door on drivers side repainted due to parking lot accident in 1999 (minor nuance difference). 
 
Interior very good; minimal wear on leather upholstery on drivers side. Of course smoke and odor free. Mechanically in perfect condition. Air Condition tested and serviced. Tires are from 1996, but road legal.
